BEN DIXEN AND THE BIG SHOTS ARE NOW A QUARTET!

Harp man, Eros wanted to play more pure & traditional blues harp  - like Jump and Chicago style stuff. So he left the band to concentrate on one of his other projects - Di Pinti Di Blues. So, we all wish him all the best! 

Ben will be taking over the harp work and do all that he can to compensate for the virtuoso Harp man Eros Barbin.  You will be able to hear the new sound of the quartet in the next few days when the live recordings of December are finally posted here on this site. 

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

JANUARY 2014

Just before the holidays with the recording help of Max "Big Harp" Casa, the band was able to get a few studio hours in at Rock Lab in Torino. In those 4 short hours a few live takes of four new original songs could be made. After some fine tuning of the mix and a general "sign-off" of all the Big Shots, the songs will be posted here on this site  - around the end of January.

FULL IMMERSION

NOVEMBER 2013

After the "Full Immersion" sessions in Milan, The Big Shots have been able to put together a good mix of six new original songs: a jump, a slow and a Chicago shuffle blues, a jazzy manouche type thing and some "friuts from the roots".

NEXT STOP

Recording Studio; 

to make some basic live tracks for this website, Demos and for distributing at the shows next year. There are a few shows planned which will be posted when they are "official".

 

FULL IMMERSION
OCTOBER 2013

The Big Shots will be going to Milan this month for some "full Immersion" creation time - with the goal of getting a few new originals worked out. Stay tuned!
